Lighting Solutions

Since the first LED light bulbs came to market in the early 2000’s, the continued improvement of the technology and ability to more easily retrofit LED light bulbs into existing systems, has led to a reduction in energy consumption relative to lighting. However, many facilities are yet to adopt a full lighting solution which not only installs LED bulbs, but lighting controls i.e. motion detection sensors, etc. 

The easiest demonstration of these savings is to look at your own domestic premise. Although there can be more work involved in commercial systems to incorporate the LED lighting, domestic bulbs that were previously 50-watt can be replaced with a 5-Watt LED bulb. This is done without impacting on lighting levels and in some cases where required, improving the lighting levels.

RPJ will work in partnership with the client and understand their needs, prior to carrying out a survey of the existing lighting, which will include lux level measurements. We will then tailor our proposed works to improve the energy efficiency of the lighting system, and where applicable, improve the lighting experience.

Once a technical proposal has been submitted and the client understands the benefits of completing the works, we will discuss the programme of works to ensure that RPJ minimise the disruption to your business while the works are completed. This could be carrying out works out of normal working hours, ensuring that your business continues to receive revenue. It can also mean completing small areas in a phased manner which may mean a longer period of works, but again, minimises the disruption to the business.
